Where to Buy the TGM Handbook
The Handbook is only available from Amazon – either as a paperback with full colour illustrations, or as an e-book. The paperback edition will be most useful as a training textbook
But the Kindle e-book is excellent for pre-viewing.
Ministry Development
Any worthwhile venture requires good planning and preparation. It needs to start with a goal – something that can be described in one or two sentences.
It needs to be based on a vision of the future – what could be – if…! It will need sufficient research to determine what the parameters are – possible partners, what resources available – people and funds in particular. You will need to identify constraints that may limit what is possible.
The goal then needs to be broken down into measurable objectives that will provide the basic structure for the project. Can we help you with this?
Visioning
Casting a vision is a primary activity that will reflect what you see happening, or becoming, as a result of your project. It should begin with the words “I see…”. For example: “I see every school in our community providing opportunity for students to study the Bible together.” Or, “I see the Kingdom of God being lived out in our town as a new model for ethics and patterns of behaviour.” Get the idea? It provides the motivation and inspiration for everything that follows.
This vision should be developed and refined as a team effort that you can do together – so that it is a shared vision. It needs to be in place before you determine your goal.
My Approach
This is in the experimental stage but this is what I envisage:
You submit to me an outline of what you have in mind – as much as possible. I will then get back to you and suggest a face-to-face meeting via Zoom – for 15 minutes.
It would be helpful if you read up about the Gray Matrix beforehand – and read the Handbook, too.
Based on our brief discussion we shall then agree on a way forward.
Using Zoom
Zoom has proved its worth in the context of the Covid-19 restrictions that have been imposed in 2020. Along with Skype it provides amazing opportunities for face-to-face contact which so many people appreciate.
In providing consultation I plan to use these – preferably Zoom – as the medium for face-to-face video interaction in real time. It is very easy – even for non-technical people.
